PHIL HAINSWORTH GUITAR TUITION
Shrewsbury, Shropshire
ABOUT ME
I am an acoustic engineer, guitar teacher and session guitarist with over 15 years’ guitar playing experience. For the past five years I have been regularly touring with Keiko Rise, one of the UK’s most engaging party bands at glitzy weddings and parties. I am also an RGT registered guitar tutor and teach in and around my hometown of Shrewsbury, Shropshire.

My specialisms are in pop, rock and blues electric guitar and popular music theory. However, I also teach a range of styles in both acoustic and electric guitar. As a registered guitar tutor with the RGT, I can also help you work towards graded exams in guitar and popular music theory. So whether you are looking to try something new and enjoyable or need a bit of one-on-one guidance from a reliable professional, please contact me to see how I can be of service.

Everything You Need to Know
WHAT AGE RANGE DO YOU TEACH?
The majority of my students are typically aged 11-14, however, I teach any age range, including primary school age, teenagers or adults from complete beginner to intermediate level.
WHERE DO YOU HOLD YOUR LESSONS?
Lessons are taught in your own home and typically take place during weekday evenings. I teach in Shrewsbury and the surrounding areas (up to approximately 10 miles out-of-town).
DO YOUR STUDENTS SIT EXAMS?
I broadly follow the RGT and LCM exam syllabuses as these provide a great way to structure your learning and benchmark your progress, however, there is no need to sit the exams unless you want to. I also teach a range of practical playing skills for those that just want to learn how to play their favourite songs.

Lessons are typically one hour in duration and are charged at £30 per lesson. Shorter half hour lessons are sometimes recommended for younger students (primary school age) and are charged at £20 per lesson.
